The Sourdough Science Terms of Service
Terms and Conditions – Events and Classes
🥖 Standard Workshops ($199/220 full-priced classes):
Deposit:
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking.
The deposit amount may vary depending on the workshop or booking platform.
Rescheduling:
Bookings may be rescheduled with more than 72 hours notice at no extra cost.
If you request to reschedule within 72 hours of the workshop:
for bookings made directly through our website, the deposit paid will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required to secure another date.
for bookings made through external platforms such as ClassBento or Eventbrite where the full amount is paid upfront, a $50 rebooking fee will apply.
Cancellation:
All deposits are non-refundable.
Cancellations made within 72 hours of the workshop will result in:
the deposit being forfeited for direct website bookings, or a $50 fee for bookings made through external platforms where the full ticket amount has already been paid.
No-Shows
If you do not attend the workshop and have not contacted us beforehand, the full ticket amount paid will be forfeited and the booking will be considered used and non-transferable.
This policy is designed to keep our workshops sustainable and fair for all participants and does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Discounted & Promotional Tickets
Black Friday tickets, discounted tickets, special offer tickets, and promotional bookings are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.
Gift Card Policy and Booking Platfrom (Eventbrite/Classbento)
If you’ve used a gift card to book or a third party platform and do not attend or fail to reschedule within 72 hours, a $50 fee will apply to rebook. You must pay this via the Upcoming Classes page to secure a new date.
Workshop Changes:
In the rare case we must cancel or reschedule a workshop, we’ll notify you promptly and offer a reschedule option.

In the past, we’ve experienced a high number of last-minute cancellations. Since our workshops are small and highly personalized, each spot holds great value. Maintaining this policy helps us preserve the quality of the experience, plan ahead, and ensure that our time and ingredients aren’t wasted. Thank you for understanding and helping us keep our workshops sustainable for all.
🍞Community Classes – Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
By booking a community class with The Sourdough Science Academy, you agree to the
following:
Payment in Full: All class payments must be made in full at the time of booking.
Payment Methods: You may pay online via our website.
- Non-Refundable Policy: All class payments are strictly non-refundable.
- Rescheduling & Transfers: While we do not offer refunds, we are happy to be flexible. You may:
- Reschedule your booking to a future date (subject to availability).
- Transfer your spot to a friend or family member if you can no longer attend.
- Please notify us as early as possible so we can update our attendee list.
- The 24-Hour Rule & No-Shows: Because these classes require significant preparation and have limited seating, any cancellation made less than 24 hours before the class, or failure to attend (no-show), will result in the forfeiture of your payment. In these cases, the payment is gone and cannot be used as credit for future sessions.
If we cancel: You will be notified as early as possible and offered a new date.
Why this policy matters: These classes are low-cost to support the community. Timely
communication helps us keep them accessible and sustainable for everyone.
🧾 General Terms for All Classes:
Remaining workshop balances (for full-priced workshops) are due on the day of the class.
A short registration form may be requested at check-in to enhance your learning experience.
We reserve the right to update these terms and policies at any time with reasonable notice.
By booking and attending our classes or workshops, you agree to these terms.
